The research includes two essential points. The first point "the exclusion suffered" demonstrates how the hero of the play feels marginalized because he is not treated according to his merit. His personal worth is denied; he is deprived of his rights to live properly. The basis of his problem lies in the presence of others, which is a constraint for his rising. He is thus invaded by a deep sense of worthlessness and helplessness and lost in a world to which he no longer belongs.

In the second point "the exclusion chosen", we try to show how the hero opts for exclusion as a defense mechanism against disillusionment. This mechanism hardens him and creates a carapace protecting him from the threat of others.
