The language of the "tourist travel brochures" has certain peculiarities that characterize it and can be distinguished from other texts. These features are primarily aimed at convincing the reader of the content of this text. Therefore, the importance of this study is, on the one hand, to discuss and analyze this type of text in terms of its grammatical structure, the vocabulary used, the formulation of its sentences, and the way readers are addressed.
In addition, the present study deals with the metaphors in these brochures, as these metaphorical images play a key role in attracting and persuading readers. On the other hand, an analytical comparison of the Arabic and German "tourist travel brochures" is provided. The study based on textual analysis with the aim of highlighting the similarities and differences between the characteristics of the text variety both in Arabic and in German.
