Crime stories today are one of the important topics in the teaching of literature, due to its basic role in stimulating reading and based on rational logical thinking, as well as contributing to self-learning and problem solving, which is one of the most important literary texts that can be addressed within the framework of teaching the German language, which has been proven to play a role in developing the linguistic abilities of learners. The research aims to introduce crime stories and their most important features as literary texts and their effective role in the development of creative writing if it is taught to learners of German as a foreign language. The research also aims to address creative writing as one of the most important basic linguistic abilities that all German language learners must master and to clarify the role of crime stories in attracting learners towards writing innovative creative texts.
